Welcome to Anny Langers' website

Last update: December, 23rd 2011

Merry Christmas for everyone…

In the world we live in today:
- around 1 billion people live in
  extreme poverty meaning for less
  than 0.86 USD a day
- 300 000 million children are stroked
  by a natural disaster
- 28 million children don’t have access
  to education
- 22 million children are on the run
  from war and armed conflicts
- 6 million children have been serious
  harmed and
2 million children were killed in war
and armed conflicts during the last
  10 years
- around 2 million people suffer at the
  horn of Africa
- 300 000 children are used as soldiers

- In Norway we probably spend around
48, 6 billion kroner in December
- 240 kroner would support a grand-
mother taking care of several grand-
  children
- 200 kroner would give 6 children
breakfast at school in Zimbabwe for a
  month
- 120 kroner would give a child in
  Afghanistan school bag and writing
  equipment for a year
- 120 kroner would give 2 weeks
energy food packages for a child
- 6 kroner per day would give food,
emergency assistance, a row above its
head and school to a child in a refuge
camp in countries like Congo, Liberia

and Afghanistan

Of course we should be allowed to celebrate our seasons and enjoy it, independent of our religion, gender, colour and age. I myself look forward to celebrate with people I care about, but not see that often since we live in different countries. I just hope that we can do both – enjoy and care…
We don't need to travel around the world and look for a place to create good things - we can start with each other, reaching our hands to our family, friends and neighbours, the poor, sick and lonely living among us - and I strongly believe that the good we do where we are will spread and reach many, many more...

May Christmas be a good Christmas for all of you
May Christmas be a time to be with beloved people
May Christmas be a time to taking a breath and get your shoulders done
May Christmas be a time to honour the memory of loved ones who passed away
May Christmas be a time for all those who are lonely, sick and frightened in this world to met a fellow human who reaches out his hands
May Christmas be a time for all who are on the run to find a save place
May Christmas be a time to brace our energy to face the New Year with all its possibilities and challenges
May the New Year be a time to reach out and embrace each other independent of skin colour, religion, nationality and income
May the New Year be a time to end wars and create peace
May the New Year be a time to realise the beauty of our planet
May the New Year be a time to stand together and decide to save our home - the earth

     Garden

    The impending thunderstorm
     feels much to close
while I come up from the river
walking through the garden towards my house
carefully keeping my distance to all of the trees

Anny Langer

When something new is created it's not the
    work of  the intellect.
The creation of something new happens as a
result that the instinct acts from an inner
    necessity.
The creative intellect plays with those things it's
     loves."

C. G. Jung

Language is everywhere. It permeates our
thoughts, mediates our relationships with others,
and even creeps into our dreams.
The overwhelming bulk of human knowledge is
    stored and transmitted in language.
Language is so ubiquitous that we take it for
granted, but without it, society as we know it
    would be impossible
