Poems from "Along the way"

Along the way 1

Along the way
The way appears while I walk
Meeting people
Impressions
Stops
In life
The way swings
View
Small sights
Of a large world

Along the way 2

Along the way
The way appears while I walk
Meeting people
Impressions
Stops
In life
The way swings
Runs an other direction as expected
Meets new ways
New people
Look out and understand
Small sights

A little seed

A little seed
Laid in the ground
Came to the world
Grew up
In rain and wind
Overcame the storm
Stretched itself against the light
With it fragile leaves
Stands upright now
Shines like the sun
A little seed has grown strong

A little seed II

A little seed
Laid in the ground
Came to the world
In rain and wind
Overcame the storm
Grew up from the hard ground
Stretched itself against the light
With it fragile leaves
Stands upright now
Stretched itself against the sun
With the wish to life
A little seed has grown strong

Thoughts

It's been said
Thoughts are free
but what about the thoughts
that were placed in out heads
against our own awareness

By the Mediterranean

Southern France
Summer
Sun
People walk in the sunset
At the promenade
On the way to one of the restaurants
In the old part of town
Fragrances of flowers hang still in the air
Small waves breaks at the beach
A lonely swimmer comes out of the water
We are on our way home
From Le châteaux

At the zoo 1

Adults and children
Stand and look at
The large animal
That walks restless
Past them behind the wall of glass
Pliant
Beautiful
Dangerous
Strange
So they walk on
To the next cage
To look at
The strange animals
Wondering
Pleased about the variety
Maybe now and there there's sowed a little thought
That grows big and guards all this

At the zoo II

People hurries on
Children nags
Want to see the real animals
Lions
Tigers
The dangerous ones
The strong ones
Few see
The little bird
Turn the head
To look at
On them
Who stops
To look at
A little head dressed with feathers

You don't want my answer

You come to me to
with a questions
You expect an answer
But you don't want my answer
I can't give it to you
You want your own answer
You can't get it
It's not what you want to hear
But it's that you can get

At the marked

Crowed of people
Rows of bodies
Going
Pushing
Movements
Like waves on the ocean
An ocean of human bodies
Past each other
Against each other
Salesmen shouting
Buyers answering
Then it's over
People hurry home

In the Danish village

In the Danish village
Memories off a lost time
Memories of people who have past
Showing us our roots
So we can build a future
Past meeting present
People alive
Walking around paths
Brooding about what has been before
Forgetting a short while
The many demands of their everyday life
Sitting down in the sun
And finally enjoying
Just to exist

Time 1

You haven't got time
You say
I know
You haven't got time
The time have you

Time 2

You haven't got time
You say
Hurry on
Past
Me
But I know
You haven't got time
The time have you

Tivoli

Children's laughter
Music is playing
The sun is shinning
It's summer
It's Tivoli
Merry-go-round goes in circles
People are lining up
At stands and activities
We walk at the silent paths
Where the light lightens for the evening
Away from the crowed
Evening falls at the Tivoli
It's summer

A place

There's a place
Far away
That creates an echo
In my soul
A sound
Vibrating
Climbing
Spreading through my body
And is released
a cry of joy
That laid there
Waited
Since I was a child

Small things

I often wondered
How small things
Can leave behind that much emptiness
When they vanish
Without mercy
The little flower in front of the window
That stood in full splendour just yesterday
And is gone today
The butterfly that flutters by
And is gone when I blink
And the bird that sang in the apple-tree
Through the summer
Vanished with the autumn wind
Small things
We rarely think about
Before they are gone
For good
